EnerCom Develops and Launches New Website for Tailwater Capital
Private equity leader turns to EnerCom to design, develop a new website to strengthen and enhance the firm’s brand identity and stand out in a competitive market
Dallas-based Tailwater Capital, a specialized middle market private equity firm focused on the energy industry, recently launched a new website to enhance the firm’s brand in the oil and gas market. Since being spun out of HM Capital with $425 million in capital, Tailwater now has over $1.7 billion in committed capital under management and is putting it to work in the upstream and midstream sectors.
Private equity in the energy sector is a highly competitive market, and Tailwater Capital’s approach to how it works with owner/managers differentiates it from other capital providers. Getting this message into the market was critical, and the firm hired EnerCom to not just develop a website, but also to further develop and define the Tailwater Capital brand identity in a way that would resonate with entrepreneurs.
“There are many private equity firms that focus on energy, particularly on oil and gas during the current down cycle,” said James Constas, Managing Director of EnerCom Consulting, “Tailwater has a unique way of doing things, and their team has significant experience in the oil and gas sector. Our objective with the new website was to help them effectively communicate to entrepreneurs how their approach can create additional value. The new website isn’t just a calling card, it is a brand asset.”
Aaron Vandeford, Director with EnerCom Consulting said, “Tailwater already had a strong brand, and we used our proprietary ‘Brandstorming’ process to evaluate the five elements of the firm’s brand identity, identify gaps and use our expertise in collaboration with management to fill those gaps quickly and efficiently.”
Created by EnerCom, the new Tailwater Capital website – www.TailwaterCapital.com – tells the Tailwater Capital story and reinforces the firm’s competitive differentiation and expertise in the energy sector.
“Their old website was a one-page calling card. It was static and really didn’t tell anyone what the firm did or why they should contact Tailwater Capital,” Erik Carlgren, Art Director with EnerCom said. “The new site is mobile friendly, reliable and users are never more than one click away from the most important information.”
